“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.” —Groucho Marx
I just had to put this one in here….
I wonder if Rahm Emanuel, Mayor of Chicago says the same about his city.

Pelosi: we have to pass the health care bill so that you can find out what is in it
Look, John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S.
“We got 435 members. It’s just a slice of America, it really is. We got some of the smartest people in the country who serve here, and some of the dumbest….we’ve got ’em all. John Boehner Speaker
Mr. Speaker I do believe I know which is in the majority.
“Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today.”
Is it any wonder that the headlines in newspapers around the country scream “SHUTDOWN”…but think about it…if we are so f**ked up when congress is in session maybe … just maybe …
An idea whose time has come For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.
… and your position on the following is?
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.”
…the last one up … please turn out the lights.
